Liquorice anyone?
Feb. 16th, 2007 03:51 pmI went to the Banana Joe's today to do some fruit and veg shopping. It's local to work and the f&V are good. It's also worth looking around through a few of the aisles for some of the more unusual things. Today I bought some liquorice tea.
Now, this isn't black tea with a little bit of aniseed added. Ingredients: liquorice root, fennel seeds and oil, peppermint and aniseed. I don't think there are any more vaguely liquorice tasting herbs around (ok, Russian tarragon and probably a few minor ones, but all the main ones are there.
And yes, it's very yum - as long as I don't get pregnant (unlikely) or develop high blood pressure or kidney disease.
