I've been playing a bit with the style - as much as you can with a freebie account. I really liked the forest colours - but it was pretty difficult to read so I'll stick to a more friendly option for now.

I've also been playing my harp... actually, I've been playing the rented one as it's easier to change the key on that one. In a few weeks there's an event in our local SCA area in which I'm supposed to be playing with a few other people. One of the pieces will be fine - it's based on an O'Carolan melody (O'Carolan's ramble to Cashel for any who might be interested) and, as it was written for the harp, the fingering is not too difficult to work out but the other one is really a modified piece for another instrument and I'm having difficulty with some of the changes. Oh well, practice some more.

Went to choir rehearsal tonight as well. Not that I could sing that much as I still have the remnants of a nasty cold. The concert we're rehearsing is an odd mixture, but the piece based on the prologue to the Canterbury Tales is looks as if it will be good to sing.

I seem to be working backwards through my day. Had lunch with zarabee (I'll have to work out how to do that link). And we spent some time having a silly conversation - but now I can't remember what it was about.

The HTML you want is [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] into which you insert the name of the user in question, ie [livejournal.com profile] zarabee.

Thanks. Although this actually shows as just the links, I think I've worked it out - with a bit of help from [livejournal.com profile] zarabee.

Ah. Even though my demonstration wasn't as cunning as I'd of liked you seem to have the idea.

Onto other matters and I wonder if you know Canberran SCAers Charles & Michelle? If so I suspect we may have met briefly at their place some time in the last few years.

Possibly. Do you know their SCA names? If I've met them in the SCA then those are most likely to be the names I know. If they are choristers I'd have an improved chance of knowing them... but then I'd know their mundane names.

I do go to Canberra quite a bit as my parents live there, so there are a few possibilities.

Charles is known as Charles of the Park, I'm afraid I don't know what name Michelle goes by these days. However, since you don't know them by the everyday names I doubt you can be who I thought you might be.

I've heard the name, but I don't think I've ever met them. And Zara tells me that she hasn't met you in person, so I couldn't have met you through her either.

Mind you, Canberra being the kind of place it is, we probably do have acquaintances in common, we just don't know who they are. :)

You're certainly right. I'm sure we will both eventually be surprised.
