It was interesting. I certainly didn't hate it. What I hated was the uncertainty after you are first called. Will you actually end up on a jury? Because you don't know this, or how long thecase will take if you do end up on a jury, you can't do much in the way of forward planning - especially not of work stuff. How can you take on another task that has strict deadlines if you don't know that you'll be able to meet them?

Also, if your employer is not nice about it (mine is very nice) then you can be seriously out of pocket. They pay you , but the rate is abysmal.

The experience itself was interesting and quite heartening. I was slightly surprised that most of the people on the jury were able to put aside their personal opinions and just look at the actual evidence presented.
