Update overdue
and this won't really be one either. I'm heading down to Canberra this afternoon and will be Internet deprived for most of a week.
So, in summary of the last couple of months, I've:
- edited 2 issues of the Physicist (one was late, the other had to come out early because of Christmas)
- produced the Newsletter of the local SCA group
- produced the programme for the choir concert (and very pretty it was, they gave me money to give it a glossy cover.)
- rehearsed for and performed in said concert (it had both serious and 'fun' items. I was in most of the small group items, so extra rehearsals)
- helped run a Heraldic Tourney and feast for the local SCA group
- was on a jury (an interesting experience and the case wasn't harrowing or anything, so no trauma)
- normal social and work stuff
Now I'm giving myself a holiday before the madness starts again next year!
Have a happy festive season, everyone!

Also, if your employer is not nice about it (mine is very nice) then you can be seriously out of pocket. They pay you , but the rate is abysmal.
The experience itself was interesting and quite heartening. I was slightly surprised that most of the people on the jury were able to put aside their personal opinions and just look at the actual evidence presented.
