Not a good start to the weekend
Jun. 25th, 2005 10:06 amMy cat, Tilly, has disappeared. If she was a normally well cat, this wouldn't be a problem - it's been less than 8 hours. But she's not a well cat. And it's raining and it's not warm and we've searched inside and outside for hours. And we're supposed to go to Canberra today with a full weekend of social and family events. Normally, I might just decide not to go, but my mother has been sick recently and I'd really like to see both my parents.
Now, if Tilly has died, then I'd be upset and sad, but it's been on the cards for a while (she's 19 and has chronic kidney failure) - no, it's not knowing and the thought that she could be out there somewhere, unable to move, but still aware that's really getting me into emotional turmoil. (I can't imagine that she's inside, even that was where she was last seen - we've just about turned the place upside down).
